WHAT DOES THE NADC IRELAND DO?

The NADC Ireland branch (National Association of Drainage Contractors, Ireland) provides a voice for the drainage industry within Ireland & Northern Ireland.

We champion training and competency within the industry and provide consumers with confidence in the use of competent contractors.

NADC contractors are promoted on our website.

NADC is a not for profit members’ association.

WHO CAN JOIN THE NADC IRELAND BRANCH?

Any drainage-related contractor based on the island of Ireland can join and benefit from the drainage-related services we provide.

HOW DO I PICK A COMPETENT DRAINAGE CONTRACTOR IN IRELAND & northern ireland?

Check to see if they belong to any trade associations.

Do a general search on the drainage contractor to identify good or bad reports.

Speak to at least three contractors before making any decision.

Ask for either a fixed price quotation or an accurate reflection of rates.

WHY USE NADC MEMBERS?

Our members are committed to providing high quality work through their ongoing training.

We are dependant on promoting good quality drainage contractors.

NADC is the only independent, not for profit members association for the drainage industry.

WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR THE NADC IN IRELAND?

The primary reason for the  NADC is to drive more business both as a direct result of being a member in the region you operate but also by creating new channels. However, Ireland and the drainage companies that operate within Ireland have been served by the NADC as a subsidiary to a mainly UK based association. Consequently, the decision was made to create an NADC Ireland branch that is run by its Irish members to make sure the views of the drainage industry are put to Government, its agencies, local authorities and other relevant organisations.

NADC Ireland will encompass the basic scope of the NADC as a whole: To provide training, certification and to promote drainage professionals at all times and to provide commentary, guidance and advice on regulatory developments of relevance to members.

In conclusion, the Ireland branch of the NADC will be managed using a management board that recognises the same values, determining the mission and purposes of the organisation’s strategic and organisational planning, ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management, approving and monitoring the organisation’s programs and services enhancing the organization’s public image, whilst assessing its own performance as the governing body of the organisation.

As an example of what the association has accomplished so far we have detailed some examples below:

DrainSafe

This project is aimed at providing a true quality marque in the drainage industry. Companies that aspire this standard will be able to provide enhanced evidence of training, quality and insurance information.

Hydrant App

This application was designed in collaboration with  Evifile and provide a smart phone app to ensure water taking from hydrants is monitored correctly.

Energy & Utility Skills Training

The NADC have worked with Energy & Utility Skills and WRc to provide recognised training through out the drainage industry in Ireland and the UK.
